With 6 active meetups in the country, what is unique about this community is that there is an army of teachers working together with experienced WordPress practitioners to make meetups and WordCamps student-friendly.

    This has built a large following of WordPress users right from the grass roots with WordPress now being extensively used in the high school subject of ICT.

  • Building a Successful WordPress Plugin: The Story of How I Became a Plugin Developer

    In this presentation, I will share the lessons I learned from building a plugin as an absolute beginner, amidst a socio-political crisis. I later abandoned the plugin, first because of the crisis, and second, because I was afraid and thought I would never become a WordPress developer. However, I later conquered my fears, and fast forward to today, this plugin has become one of my most successful plugins with over 2,000 downloads and more than five paying customers. In its first year, it generated over $300 in revenue.
