My name is Idris Nfongang Tabi, and I’m currently Lead Developer at Jalpha Health. I am also a WordPress developer, trainer, and community leader from Cameroon. Over time, I have grown from someone who didn’t initially like WordPress to becoming a passionate contributor, trainer, and advocate, mentoring others, organizing meetups, and representing my community internationally.
I want to speak at WordCamp Nairobi to share how WordPress transformed my career and leadership journey, and to inspire other African developers to see contribution as a bridge to opportunities. Through this talk, I aim to show how open-source collaboration can empower individuals, strengthen communities, and open doors to global connections and professional growth.
