 Content Writing on WordPress

Since I started blogging, I have dedicated my time to studying the art of Content Writing.

I would like to approach my presentation by breaking down Content Writing into 3 key areas;

The hook: This is what keeps readers glued to your writing. It hints at what is to come. It needs to keep the adrenaline flowing.

The suspense: This is what keeps a reader reading. Like a good mystery novel, it is best to give your readers little bites of content and let them digest it.
The full circle moment: This is the call to action that ties in with the hook at the start.

There are many content creators across Kenya and the world. Many however lack the knowledge, drive, or determination that they can build blogs and websites that can impact, be widely read, and last.

I have built tech-ish.com alone. And I have WordPress to thank for that. I would like to share on the same from setting up, building an audience, getting recognised through good SEO, and Social Media presence, and proper content creation strategies.

WordPress for Charity

Presented by Boit Victor.

WordPress is a free resource developed by developers all over the world, this (good deed) can be translated further down to the other people who are not tech savvy, and this resource can be used to create solutions that will help other people.

This is for example by creating websites where people can air their civil grievances and also websites for activists for human rights and activist activities and then offering these sites for free to those who can use this to help improve other peoples lives. This is just one among many ways WordPress can be used as a charitable tool more so as to spread information and to air content that could help make a difference.

WordPress Community, The Gift That Keeps on Giving

Presented by jkaduki.

Being part of the WordPress Community has multiple benefits. These include continuous learning and exchange of ideas and best practices which are fed into business improvement; feedback on products and services as they are experienced by customers and clients; feedback on writing (for bloggers)which helps refine and enrich ideas; and being part of a diverse, caring, growing and global network that enhances knowledge sharing. As the community keeps growing, so the benefits of using WordPress as the CMS of choice multiply.
