What is WordCamp Nairobi?
WordCamp Nairobi is an informal, community-organized conference covering everything WordPress, open source, and the modern web. From core development, theme and plugin design to content creation, digital marketing, and running an online business, it brings together people of all skill levels to share knowledge and connect.
Do I need to be a developer to attend?
Not at all. While there are sessions for advanced programmers and web architects, WordCamp is designed for everyone who interacts with the web: business owners, designers, bloggers, content writers, marketers, project managers, and complete beginners taking their first steps with WordPress.
When and where is WordCamp Nairobi 2026 taking place?
WordCamp Nairobi 2026 will take place on 27th and 28th November 2026 at ALX Africa, The Piano, located along Brookside Drive in Westlands, Nairobi. For venue details, accessibility, directions, and the full schedule, explore our detailed guides: Event Venue / Program Overview

Do I need to print my ticket?
No. Save the paper. Just show the QR code on your phone or provide your name and email address at the registration desk when you arrive.
Sessions & Experience
Will there be high-speed Wi-Fi and power outlets?
Yes. Wi-Fi is available across all main session halls and community areas. Power strips are positioned throughout workshop and presentation rooms, but we still recommend arriving with your laptops and mobile devices fully charged.
What should I bring with me?
Bring a notebook or laptop for taking notes, business cards or your digital profile for networking, a reusable water bottle, and a light jacket or sweater in case the halls get chilly. If you plan to attend technical hands-on workshops, having a local development environment installed on your machine is recommended.
Are sessions recorded?
Yes. Most main track sessions are filmed and will be uploaded to WordPress.tv after the event. Slide decks will also be shared on the official website once speakers make them available.
